Terms of Use

Effective: 4 November 2026 · Binky Labs, maker of Hopshell

By using Hopshell you agree to these terms.

Using Hopshell

Hopshell is a tool for connecting to servers you own or are allowed to use. You are responsible for what you do on those servers and for keeping your passwords, keys and backups safe.

AI answers

AI answers can be wrong, out of date or unsafe for your system. Hopshell puts suggested commands on your command line but never runs them. Read every command before you press Enter. You are responsible for what you run.

When you use your own host program or API key, that provider's terms and charges apply, and you pay them directly.

AI features included with a subscription may have fair-use limits, shown in the app.

No warranty

Hopshell is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it reliable, but cannot promise it will be free of errors or always available.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Binky Labs is not liable for lost data, downtime, damage to your systems or other indirect losses from using Hopshell. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for Hopshell in the 12 months before the claim.

Open-source parts

Hopshell includes open-source software under its own licences, listed in the app under Settings → About.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes go to the courts of Singapore. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
